Sherlock Mini-Convention in Seattle! - Updated

Hi all! This is a shout out to all the Sherlockians in the Seattle, WA area and parts nearby that are willing to travel for a fun Sherlock Event!

I work for SIFF, a cool non-profit movie theater/festival and we have a lovely 91 seat theater in the heart of Seattle Center - the perfect place to have a Sherlock Mini-Convention! But before this can happen I need help from YOU! I'm looking for ARTISTS!, WRITERS!, and SHERLOCK FANS! who would be interested in participating in an event like this and who can collectively help to pay the cost of the space.

Ideally I see this as a big screen showing of all three episodes of Sherlock Season 2 with some time either in-between or after for hanging out, chatting, and looking at cool Sherlock stuff by local artists. But in order to make this happen, I need to know how many people would actually be interested and willing/able to kick in money. The more people who can come, the cheaper it will be per person and the more cool and awesome stuff we can do!

So here are the steps that need to be taken in order to make this happen! :)

Step 1: DONE! Thanks for all the reblogging! We're currently almost at capacity for the space, so best to hold off on reblogging for now. Don't want to oversell.

Step 2: RSVP AND LET ME KNOW YOU'D LIKE TO COME! If this is something that you would be interested in, please reply to this post below or message me.

Step 3: PICK A DATE! Currently we're looking at Saturday, September 22nd. Waiting for confirmation from SIFF Cinema.

Additionally, if anyone local has ideas about other fun things that we could do at the convention, I'm all ears! The Seattle Center is a great place for a convention - lots of large open areas, tons of great restaurants within easy walking distance. As I said before, the more people who can come and contribute, the more fun stuff we can do! So please spread the word! :)

Many thanks to you all! :D
