Jack... and Thomas, are going to be seeking revenge for Giselle's sake. Those brutes better hope they don't make port any time soon...

We'd like to hope that maybe Jack would learn from this that from actions there is an effect. Probably improbable.
For two women of the streets, Giselle and Scarlett seem to have landed the two good men of the Caribbean. Lucky gals. Gotta be something special there. And yet, Pierre is going to be there safe harbor. There's a message in there somewhere.
I can sympathize with Giselle, on several levels. Going back into that melee would be more than difficult. I think we tend to overlook the courage in internal fortitude it took for those women to make a living. "Ya do what ya gotta do," takes on a whole new meaning.
Very sensitively drawn. Good stuff!!

For Giselle and Scarlett, I have tried to give them a logical "way out" of the life of a whore. Now, it depends on what Pierre does. A good safe place, I would say. Though, there might be a bit of jealousy now and then. LOL
Jack will do his best to right the "wrong", in his own Jack fashion. As will Thomas (thanks again for the loan!)

You know I can imagine Jack listening well in such circumstances. Looking forward to hearing more.

I am glad you are enjoying it, I have tried to balance the light and the dark, allowing the characters to be believable. Fringe dwellers of society, they lived on the edge, danger a constant presence in their lives.

Thomas' usual ' cabin boy'. Sour grapes Jack. :)
I can see where you are trying to keep it light but address the heavy nature of the girls' plight. I think it works very well because it involves different characters interactions. Some serious - some not. It is a good mix.
Can't wait to 'see' what happens.

Jack is being all pissy/pouty but will soon get his chance to redeem himself in everyone's eyes.
