Such a great chapter. :-D Now they got a lady each, Jack and Thomas. ;-D And both of them got work to, with Pierre! Things are looking up indeed! And Jack set on revenge... Beware! Loving this.

Happy to hear you are still enjoying the story. I have tried to develop these characters to have a story of their own. And a future less bleak that what surely would have been their fate.

Jack... and Thomas, are going to be seeking revenge for Giselle's sake. Those brutes better hope they don't make port any time soon...

Interesting developments all around.

We'd like to hope that maybe Jack would learn from this that from actions there is an effect. Probably improbable.

For two women of the streets, Giselle and Scarlett seem to have landed the two good men of the Caribbean. Lucky gals. Gotta be something special there. And yet, Pierre is going to be there safe harbor. There's a message in there somewhere.

I can sympathize with Giselle, on several levels. Going back into that melee would be more than difficult. I think we tend to overlook the courage in internal fortitude it took for those women to make a living. "Ya do what ya gotta do," takes on a whole new meaning.

Very sensitively drawn. Good stuff!!

I have tried throughout this series to keep it light, but also address some of the issues of marginal society. I can only imagine the hell these women went through to eke out a living in those days.

For Giselle and Scarlett, I have tried to give them a logical "way out" of the life of a whore. Now, it depends on what Pierre does. A good safe place, I would say. Though, there might be a bit of jealousy now and then. LOL

Jack will do his best to right the "wrong", in his own Jack fashion. As will Thomas (thanks again for the loan!)

Much enjoyed.

You know I can imagine Jack listening well in such circumstances. Looking forward to hearing more.

I'd forgotten the fun and now the sadness of this story. Glad for it to be ginning along again. Thanks for the more of and more please if you will. Thomas, now there's a darling, but boys hitting one another how not nice. Jack's last little thought before unconsciousness, yep, sounds just like him. Gooden stuff here, and Pierre. Love it.

I've more to come, as this story tends to write itself, when the mood strikes.

I am glad you are enjoying it, I have tried to balance the light and the dark, allowing the characters to be believable. Fringe dwellers of society, they lived on the edge, danger a constant presence in their lives.

Thomas' usual ' cabin boy'. Sour grapes Jack. :)

I can see where you are trying to keep it light but address the heavy nature of the girls' plight. I think it works very well because it involves different characters interactions. Some serious - some not. It is a good mix.

Can't wait to 'see' what happens.

Nice to see you've caught up. This has been one of those stories that writes itself, no hurrying the process, apparently.

Jack is being all pissy/pouty but will soon get his chance to redeem himself in everyone's eyes.

More to come...
