38 ish weeks?

The last three mornings I have woken up with my left ear completely blocked up. Yawning, coughing, swallowing seems to help. usually my ear would unblock itself. today-nothing is fully working-my hearing is at like 50% in my left ear ( Read more... ) -

i cannot sleep. I had to pee, again. couldnt get comfortable. then as i got semi comfortable i realized i was starving. i usually eat a snack before bed to avoid the stomach issues brought on by the Palafer, but i was still full from supper when i went to bed. so prepared a bowl of strawberries and blueberries and cream. nom nom nom. but now i ( Read more... ) -
almost full term
dammit. I thought last night was going to be the start of something. I was laying in bed, and was contracting every 7-10 minutes for an hour! and then...poof. nothing. I was so excited :(
*cries* I'm going to have this baby in September >. -

Well, I'm on palafer. Karine called and told me that thanks to the floradix, my hemoglobin is up where it should be, but I still have no iron reserves. I'm to keep on with the floradix, but take one palafer daily as well, to build up my iron reserves before the birth ( Read more... ) -

Karine came over today for the home visit. Everything looks set for a homebirth, she left a big box and a little box of stuff-plus some ergot to keep in the fridge. I am so thrilled! I keep going "yay" and "whoo" and "squee" and happy dancies ( Read more... ) -

So roughly 6-7 weeks to go (provided senhor baby does not go overdue) the second trimester went so fast-now things are starting to feel like slow motion again. It's almost over, and that makes me kind of sad-i've really enjoyed being pregnant (minus the 7ish weeks of constant nausea) I've felt wonderful. I am however, at the sleepless stage. My appt last week was with Cecile, not Karine. they wanted to make sure i met both midwives, and cecile is off most of July. cecile doesn't speak much english, and she's a bit uptight compared to karine, but it doesn't bother me. She viewed my meals (i had to bring in a couple days worth of what i've been eating) and she told me to lay off ( Read more... ) -

I could have this baby in less than 4 weeks- he'd be full term at 37 weeks. While it's not likely to happen that early for me, it's still exciting to know that i could be holding a sweet little baby in my arms that soon! Obviously I don't want him to come early-that would mean possible complications, hospital birth, nicu etc. But after July ( Read more... )
