Hallo, Mary Lou.

It must be rather frightening to have everyone know who you are, but of course you don't want to hurt their feelings.

Welcome back, Cinderella! I think I shall call you that from now on, just to see those little cheeks of yours flush so alarmingly. Never you mind those first-form kids. Better they should idolise you than Gwendoline or Maureen. At least you're worth something.

Hello, Mary Lou, and welcome back! You seem to be getting the hang of this journal assignment much better than I am, I must say.

I hope you won't worry yourself too much over the little first years--and they do seem just as small as ever, don't they?--as I'm sure they'll settle down soon enough. And it can't be a bad thing for everyone to know who you are, you know! Really, if you'd just give yourself a chance I'm sure you'd be surprised at how much fun you might have with your new fame.

Well, I must get to bed, and I've got something I want to talk to Darrell about, so I'll have to cut this short!

I'd feel exactly the same way. It's lucky I'll never be put in that position.
