The equipment of our opponents is unknown. I can only share what has been observed in the past. Additionally, they have the ability to disable technology at will. The droids are useless in combat against them.
[ There is very little Flynn can think of to say to this. He can't find the emotion within him -- all that remains is a sort of numb emptiness at the sudden reality of what living in this place means.
He could yell at the Commandant. He could wail to the skies. But he doesn't. There is only one thing on his mind right now, and he shouts across the journals, hoping she'll hear him. ]
The battleships are dual-powered. Sailing vessels equipped with engines. The cargo ship is primarily powered by fueled engines, but we have been able to harness solar power in case of emergency.
[Norma may be in her cushy room in the Lucetiland resort, but this...this takes a lot of the fun out of it. Grune's message, though, has her smiling. Heh, that's our G-Girl...selfless and sweet to the bitter end. You bet your butt she'll be looking out for you, bff.]
Time to put on a show again, huh? [Norma sighs, playing up the part of aloofness.] Another day, another world that needs saving... Looks like all this gloom and doom is calling out to us huh, G-Girl? Just like old times! The Laugh Brigade's stepping out at first dawn! Into battle, lifting morale, fighting the baddies!
[Kazooie is feeling something very foreign right now - mild, nagging worry for somebody.
Worry. It's not something she usually does. But she's used to doing stuff like this with just her and Banjo - and for all the complaining she does about Banjo, he can be pretty level-headed in a pinch. Grune? Grune was spacey at best.
So... Kazooie speaks up, though she's masking any concern she has with annoyance.]
Listen, Gruney, you better get somebody to help you out. You can't do that whole standing-around-all-spacey-like thing here! This is a real battle and stuff!
[Why do you people always do this to her when she's sick? Nevertheless. Pilots will be programmed to follow your orders. Figures. Give her something she can do and take it away again in the same breath.
Making a written list, because voice is currently in absentia for the most part:]
1) What kind of ships? Sail, steam, full of shiny technology?
2) Can we request equipment on this draft?
3) Can we take a pet on this draft? He doesn't have your wings.
4) I don't suppose you can give me a cure for this bug I have, or I'm going to be pretty useless to you.
[And after a short pause, she adds:]
5) Navigational charts? Do you have maps of the area?
[Ah well, that gets a cocky grin, but she'll stick to writing. You...sound much less capable when you have a snuffly voice, really.] Do my best to. At least this sort of thing we're in our element, huh?

What kind of equipment do they have that can only be operated during the day?
And why stop at making the pilots the only droids we have? If they can overpower us normally, they must make great weapons in war too.

Well then, can you at least tell me about what kind of technology and firepower they have? Can we expect to be about matched in that area?
As for the harbor. Will there be anyone there to receive us, or are we supposed to unload and transport it as well?

[She hadn't been able to help, the last time. This time, she's going to make sure to give it her all.]

2) Make your requests when on board the vessels.
3) If you must. Do so on the vessel with any other requests.
4) Your condition isn't my concern. Come as you are.
5) Charts can be found on the vessels when you arrive.
