I went with the boy to a friends house sunday evening for dinner and a game, and they had a wonderfully sweet dog there who I quickly bonded with.  Today, I miss my dog in a very painful way.  I've been trying to arrange to take him for the weekend the friday after this coming.  I still don't know if I'm going to be able to do it, but I want to SO

Hmmm. I've never suffered from seasonal depression before, even in Alaska, so it's probably unrelated, but I'll make an attempt at clinging to that idea anyway, because it's sensible.

Get a small furry rodent. They are easy to take care of an despite their tiny size have an incredible capacity for receiving love.
Ups and downs aside you are strong and beautiful and very very loved. I miss you sweetie and would give you huge hugs if my arms would reach that far!

anything along tose lines will due depending on your preference. rats are extremely intelligent and clean. Chinchillas are very excitable, sugar gliders (my fave) are nocturnal, ferrets I would say are not my fave, but it doesn't have to be a rodent so much as small mammal ya know..
