Summary: Sungmin met Kyuhyun at preschool as a weak little kid, but later proves to Kyu that bunnies can be brave too!

A/N: I thought of Bb!Sungmin and the rest just fell into place.

The little boy clung to his pink rabbit for dear life as he hid behind his ‘Mother’ and stared fearfully at the scene before him. It was too crowded, and too loud. Several boys and girls ran around the preschool room giggling and yelling, with teachers scolding any child every chance they had. He could feel his legs tremble when a teacher came up to his ‘Mother’ and started talking.

“Welcome to the SM preschool and kindergarten, you must be Mr. Park.” The lady smiled sweetly, she had really pretty blond hair tied in a ponytail and her dress was a rosy pastel pink. The two adults shook hands and exchanged greetings before the nice lady crouched down to level with the boy and lightly pinched his cheek; making him squirm a little and shrink behind his ‘Mother’ once more. “And you must be little Sungminnie! We heard a lot about you, why don’t you go play with some of the other kids for a bit while I talk to your daddy?” Sungmin didn’t move an inch. No way on earth was he going to leave his Umma! His ‘Mother’ sighed softly and patted his back gently, Sungmin looked up curiously and innocently with his bunny plushie covering over half his face. His big brown eyes sparkling with silent pleas to not leave his side. His ‘Mother’ could hear his heart break in two as he looked down at his son, but nevertheless,

“Minnie sweetie, mommy needs to talk to Ms. Jessica, ok?” he cooed at the terrified little one. Reluctantly, and awkwardly, Sungmin left his most efficient protection from the world and shuffled over to a coloring table. He sat down on a plastic yellow stool and with his bunny safely in his lap, he picked up a pink crayola crayon and started scribbling. Few times he’d stop and look up at the person in front of him and pout a little. He sat across Sungmin with his curly brown hair trimmed nice and neat, his chocolate eyes never moving away once from the PSP and his little, but surprisingly slim fingers flying around the console buttons. He wore a dark slate blue long sleeve shirt and faded jeans(if jeans even existed for someone so young), the boy leaned back again his chair, balancing two of the legs on the ground and the other two in the air. Finally, he looked up from his game and bore his stare into Sungmin. Sungmin stuttered incoherently and looked back down to the mess of lines he was drawing.

“Hey.” The boy said, making Sungmin freeze for several seconds then withdraw himself behind the rabbit toy. “HEY!” the boy shouted now. Sungmin jumped and buried his face into the plushie’s soft and fuzzy fur. He heard the boy groan in annoyance and in the moment following thereafter, his bunny wasn’t in his hold and instead, the boy had it by and ear, dangerously and rabidly dangling it. Sungmin squeaked and reached for it and fell over the table then the boy pulled away.

“G-give it back!” he cried out, the boy smirked cruelly and shook his head.

“What if I don’t want to?” Sungmin’s bottom lip trembled as he quickly admitted defeat. He sat back down and looked at his hands. The tears were already flooding his eyesight. He blinked a few times, followed up by soft hiccups and tears. Out of his view, the boy’s eyes went big as he panicked and quickly looked around to see if anyone would notice he made someone cry on the first day. Swiftly and as gently as his demeanor could manage he ran to Sungmin’s side of the table and placed the bunny back in Sungmin’s hands. Sungmin ran his fingers over the plushie, prodding around to feel the soft fur and nuzzled it’s head with the tip of his nose. He looked at the boy and smiled weakly, stilled worried what he might do.

“Than-*hic* you…” he murmured only loud enough for the person it was meant for. The boy pulled up a blue stool and sat right next to Sungmin, regretting that he started this mess.

“I’m sorry, I didn’t mean to make you cry. I don’t wanna get in trouble for making a girl cry on the first day of-“

“I’m a boy!” Sungmin wailed in objection. The boy quickly stumbled over his sentence to correct himself.

“Er, I meant boy, I meant boy!”

“No you didn’t! You said ‘girl’! And I’m not a girl!” Sungmin’s eyes quickly welcomed back the tears and they starting rolling around his pink cheeks while he cried.

“I’m sorry! I’m sorry! Don’t cry! Um, w-what can I do now? Please, stop crying…” The boy pulled Sungmin into a hug and rubbed his back gently. “Please stop crying.” Sungmin calmed down and slowly pulled out of the embrace to stare at the boy, wiping as few tears away and wiping his (runny) nose on his dress shirt’s sleeve. When the boy thought it was safe to talk, he sighed and smiled sweetly at Sungmin. “I’m Cho Kyuhyun, what’s your name?”

“I’m, Lee Sungmin, but mommy calls me Minnie. Like the mouse!” he smiled brightly to Kyuhyun. Kyuhyun blushed a little and looked away from the smaller boy. Sungmin peeped over to other kids near them; two other boys playing and talking to each like friends. Before the idea finished forming in his head Sungmin asked sheepishly to Kyuhyun, “Would you like to be my friend?”

Kyuhyun pondered for a moment, only to tease Sungmin, and finally, after what they’d call hours(but adults can call one minute) he grinned devishly and ruffled Snugmin’s hair a little.

“Yeah, sure, why not?”

And picturing Sungminnie(Who is like in his 20s and STILL has baby cheeks) as a kid just killed me with happiness.  Btw,this WAS going to be a oneshot, but I wanted to make short chapters agani instead of one LOOONNNNGGGGGGG fic.
