Yes, this was just what he had needed. The hours went by, and it grew late. Peony himself held his alcohol very well, yet even he was rather tipsy when they decided to take their leave.
After saying their goodbyes to those they had socialized with, he and his dear friend made their way back to the Palace.

He should really tell Peony this. "You know, I'd like to do this again sometime," he informed the other man with a smile. "It's been far too long."

After a moment of deciding it couldn't hurt, he lifted the arm against Frings' side, draping it up over his friend's shoulders. He was feeling a little lightheaded...the sooner they reached his room, the sooner they could both get off of their feet. He wasn't sure, but he figured Frings may appreciate that as well.
Head turned toward Aslan's smiling face brought and even wider smile to his own and he just had to nod his agreement. "It has been. I'd love to do this again sometime soon."

He hoped that Peony wouldn't mind if he crashed in the Emperor's own private quarters instead of trying to make his way back to his own room. The prospect of walking all that way was starting to seem less and less appealing with each step. Just how many drinks had he had anyway? He couldn't even remember. The bartender had been more than happy to provide refills whenever his glass was empty...
