BTW, what's up with all the washed up actors at the RNC? I accidentally tuned in for a minute and thought I was watching an episode of "I love the 80s."
I am only getting the gist of the whole fiasco from the quick update on my radio news, because I don't have time to actually look into anything deeper atm, but this gives me an idea what I haven't missed out on.
Here is a quick version of the two speeches synched together, courtesy of The Guardian, so you can compare them yourself. It's pretty undeniable when you watch them side by side like that.
Ah yes, two totally different speeches! How anyone could even think of plagiarism here is beyond me! ;)
Anyway, it's disturbing to listen to her accent that totally gives away her non-US roots while her husband stands for fighting immigration and building walls to keep foreigners out. What's wrong with this picture?
because no one other than former b-listers who are now d-listers would agree to be a part of Crowning the Great Pumpkin Head.
And I feel sorry for Melania, I don't think her English is good enough that she'd have spotted the plagiarism (if she had been looking for it). Granted I don't think highly of her judgment to begin with, she did marry the Great Pumpkin Head.
I agree with almost everything you said, except it's a little hard for me to have too much sympathy for her. Donald's almost certainly a lousy husband, but I find it hard to believe she married him for love. The situation with the speech would've been a whole lot more forgivable if she hadn't kept trying to insist she wrote it.
