That... is so depressing. And yet, so true. I think we'd need to call in some bona fide psychologists to truly outline workeable ways with which to make a Howince relationship truly healthy. IMO all we can do, as slash writers, is try and provide some transitory fluff to a scenario that, in canon at least, is quite glum...

I think it mostly just needs more adventures. The reason they bonded was because they kind of had to. It was two of them against the Zooniverse. Now, there's not a lot for them to team up against, and if there is it soon fades when they end up back in the shop.

Hang on... that's it exactly. They're split up in all but one episode instead of facing something together. Darn, now I want to analyse.
