Ofic: Out, part 21

I'm still catching up with reviews, but I do have to say one more time, a great thanks to all of you who read and comment on my fics ^__^ It's what makes me stick to my writing schedule and post once a week when possible (I'm a great procrastinator usually) For me, writing is a little like exercising. It's fun, but only after I've been doing it for ( Read more... )

Poor Ryou is only at the start of his ethical rollercoaster, though it's going to come in slow stages. We see snippets of Rand's backstory in later chapters, but not that much. Poor guy, it's what comes from being the perfectly discreet servant.

wow! i`m amazed, as usual :) great chapter, loved the talk about the scary woman. wonder if Darius would have lost the war if she was his opponent and her weapon was never-ending ranting :)

eh, cliffhanger...of sorts. well, let`s say that i got used to that ... though it breaks my heart every time :)

Awww *band-aid over heart* Don't worry, it'll get better! (I lie, the cliffies will continue because I love torturing the readers)

Fascinating. The world building here continues to draw me in - even as the characters keep me guessing. Darius is someone I really want to dissect (personality-wise, of course!) and Ryou keeps surprising me. I need to go back and read the earlier chapters again - I feel like I don't have a good picture of what he looks like - but I think tht is partially because I know his face is changing now, thawing, and I'm not sure he does. I bet if he looked in a mirror, he would see a whole other person.

'I bet if he looked in a mirror, he would see a whole other person.'

...Interesting thought. I'm going to have to see if I can work that in there somewhere. (Am hampered by the fact they did not have very good mirrors at the time, though.)

I've got a visual for Ryou that I can post for those interested, I'm just trying to find a good Darius pic as counterpart.

One thing I like about your stories is that they don't end with the lovers getting together. We readers can enjoy the smut as we go along, with other tensions and unanswered questions pulling us along.

LOL to Rand asking about the Inland. Where does one start describing the differences?

Is this nightmare a glimpse of the real antagonist? I'd want to forget a dream like that, too.

I like the continuing culture shock. What is so natural to Darius as giving booty to his lover, is a horrifying concept to Ryou.

And Darius asking Ryou about how he feels about his hounds is equivalent to asking Ryou to move in with him. They are Darius' babies and Ryou definitely has to get along with them to make anything work with Darius.

Thank you for posting every week. It's great to have something to look forward to.

That's one of my trademarks, I guess you can say; I'm more interested in writing the morning after than I am writing the night before. And I'm *really* interested in writing the week after and the month after and the year after, because that's when a relationship is actually really happening, in all it's 'you left the toothpaste uncapped *again*' details.

The nightmare will eventually make a rerun, though not for *quite* a long time (Ryou would be reassured to hear)

Glad you like the fic! I hope I can continue posting fast and furious, because damn, it's kind of fun for me too ^__^

Loving this. Too tired to leave proper review - apologies, studying for a federal exam. But this is a welcome break in my day, as was last week's posting.
