boring language stuff

Sometimes, so many things just irritate me when it comes to languages including reading shit about people being undecisive. I always warn people at work that one thing I cannot stand is when you come to me looking for advice simply because you cannot decide for yourself wtf you want ( Read more... )

Aiya. This is what makes me miss living in California so much - the diversity of cultures :(

I've always played with the idea of being fluent in Tagalog, Spanish, Korean, and Japanese. I could probably get the first two down (if I pushed myself really hard) but the last two languages I'd have to be totally immersed in it.

lol Funny w/ the "aiya". I no longer say that...i should. I know that is what I love about this place, the diversity, the different cultures, the option to partake in whatever you'd like. For Korean...just move to Koreatown. lol

Haha. I think I'd just end up getting real angry if I lived with Koreans surrounding me 24/7. Their accents and language sound so angry I just want to throttle them *l* This probably has to do with the fact that when I used to live in the dorms at UCI, my roomies were Korean/Korean Americans that spoke mostly Korean. It's funny coz I actually want to learn Korean, not throttle the source :P

Does UCI have lots of Asians? JUst curious.

I never thought of their language being...well, harsh. I just thought they were! lol I used to live in Korea town for 4 yrs., the first 4 yrs. here when I moved to LA.
