The free clinic Doctor, Dr. Wright, told me I don't have a staph infection on Wednesday. I would have been relieved, except that I knew he was wrong (I know what a staph infection feels like, good sir). I've been laying on the opposite side of my face trying to avoid the pain in my ear (his suggestion? use olive oil drops in my ears...because

I'm sorry. I tried vinegar with my ear and I think it helped some, but not much. I was desperate though

Thanks. They said on the home remedy sites to try washing my eye with vinegar, too, but vinegar stings and gives me a rash on my skin (we learned this when I was a kid and tried a vinegar bath for my mosquito bites) so I'm afraid to put it in my eyes. They also say to boil Turmeric and then strain it 5 times (dude, overkill much?) and let it cool and use it for eyedrops, but again, Turmeric stings me and the thought of putting it in my eye is...um, no. Plus I'd be afraid of not straining it enough and getting particles in my eye. Ugh

Proof that "doctor" doesn't always mean someone got an education. D:

I peeked in my parents' natural healing book to see if there were any other ideas, but even it said that if you have your symptoms, see a doctor because it's an infection already. I am sad that a book written by two random New Age non-doctors knows more about infections than a guy with a medical degree he got out of a cereal box.

I worked all night with a cotton patch taped over my eye because the pain and swelling were so bad. Everyone made fun of me and made Pirate noises at me and told Pirate jokes all night long and it was fun. Sometimes I like my job.
