The free clinic Doctor, Dr. Wright, told me I don't have a staph infection on Wednesday. I would have been relieved, except that I knew he was wrong (I know what a staph infection feels like, good sir). I've been laying on the opposite side of my face trying to avoid the pain in my ear (his suggestion? use olive oil drops in my ears...because those clear up the imaginary pain that's not from infections, you know) and now the infection has leaked over into this side of my face, because my right eyelid is swollen and infected. In other words, I have a stye! Yay! Just what I always wanted. I'm glad I DON'T HAVE AN INFECTION AND IT'S ALL IN MY HEAD YOU FUCK. The free clinic is only on the first and third Wednesday of the month, so there's not another one for three weeks now and I'm in screaming pain. I'm putting wet tea bags on my eye (go ahead, make the joke, I did) and hoping the infection clears up before then. But now I get to work all night tonight and tomorrow with a painful stye in my eye because Mr. Dismissive likes to tell people they're not sick when they are! Woot! I hope it still hurts like hell on my birthday on Tuesday! That will make things even better!
