Elena's anger only made Reno laugh harder, just because he knew she probably would shoot him (or at least, shoot at him) if she had the chance, and that somehow made it much funnier to him

Here she was, nearly making herself sick worrying about him (honestly, when did she become his mother?) because he was being a complete idiot and he had never ever been a reasonable person and Rufus would just tell him to jump off a building if that meant Reno would leave him alone but Reno was stupid enough to take him seriously even though he knew full well that Rufus wasn't being serious and why in the world did he insist on doing this to her?"You are not going to be fine in a-" she turned to yell at Reno some more only to see him now standing on the surely decrepit rafter and wandering around "GOD RENO WILL YOU GET DOWN!?" she practically shrieked, quickly swinging around again to face the other direction. She couldn't watch him do this, she was having enough of a panic attack as it was

He hadn't even heard Elena's screech, distracted as he had been with trying to stay on the rafter in a sudden bout of his own panic - he had the same 'stay alive!' instincts that everyone else had, sometimes he just stopped listening to them - but if he had heard her he would have laughed. Probably would have teased her about it, how she sounded like a yowling cat.

Reno's eyes were still shut tight when the girl came skidding toward him, a string of curses passing his lips as he rested his forehead on his knee. That was not good. Definitely not the furthest he had ever fallen, but on his rating of amount of pain it was probably in the 'ow, Christ' area.

After a moment though, he was ready to try and get up, see how badly he was hurt and shit. That was when he felt Elena's (fucking freezing) hands on his ankle, and his eyes shot open, pupils thin. Ooo, she used heck. She must be really mad, he thought, wondering if he thought it was funny or not. On some level he found it amusing and kind of cute that she was all worried for him (it could be accounted to the fact that they used to go on missions together, but Reno liked to think this was more personal) but another part of him could actually agree with her there, because he had been being a complete dumbass. Not that he would ever say that.

"Yeah, yeah," He groaned, not enjoying being lectured very much. Letting his head fall back and feeling his ponytail touch the floor, he looked up at the spot he had fallen from. Christ. He was lucky to just have a fucked up ankle.

He looked back to Elena incredulously at her words, raising one eyebrow and furrowing the other. "Is this really the time, blondie? I know you want me, but really." A teasing grin grew on his lips, but he unbuttoned the few buttons holding his shirt together and handed it over to her, giving her a show at the same time.
