Keiichi arrived a few minutes later. He considered Balthier a dear friend. And if he had insisted on hiding what he did...well, he'd wait another day to ask, but not freak out like before.

He knocked on the door when he arrived. "Balthier?"

He closed his eyes for a moment when he heard the knock. "Come in, Keiichi." Balthier sat down on his couch and rubbed the back of his neck. Honesty about his own demons never came easily, but he owed it to Keiichi to not chicken out. Maybe then the teen could have the strength to talk more.

Keiichi opened the door and slipped inside. He looked over at Balthier. "You okay?" He asked.

"I've been better. But having my faults pointed out to me in the early mornng was not the best way to start today." He smiled weakly. "I'm sure she's already been asking people about me, too."
