I just found your LJ when sorting out my bookmarks - I think (?) I found it years ago when looking on LJ for anyone who went to my school (Nottingham HS 1967-74)

I'd be interested to help review your algebra textbook - I read mathematics at Cambridge and found the analysis intuitive but the algebra hard. I have now realised I ought to learn some algebra properly and have been reading Artin's textbook as recommended by Miles Reid somewhere (again, it's expensive for UK students)

Hello and welcome. I was at NHS from 1981-1991 and mostly survived. I've got some fond and some less fond memories of the school, and haven't really stayed in contact, although I do get occasional mailshots from them.
