First of all: your sister (and her knight in shining armour) is adorable.
Second: I can't say I liked this little twist in Gokudera's family history. Especially considering the fact that to me, Gokupapa has seemed like a jerkoff, what with letting Bianchi poision her little brother constantly for years without doing anything about it. So it kind off seems like a cheap "he's not really a bad guy after all!" thing. But then again, I'm pretty cynical. (But she did die in a car crash, but maybe the sicknes made her accidentally drive off the road?)
And IF she turned down his advances because she was sick, then why the hell did she only get to see her son three times a year? Considering the fact that Gokudera was three when she died (which is something that has bothered me since I first read it) then how the hell could he be sitting all prefectly like that and playing the piano with her? Not to mention his speech! HE WAS THREE. Most kids that age don't do stuff like that, right? Heck, I don't even remember age three! /rant. Then again,

Yeah, gossip, that is true. But I still find it weird that Reborn would be relying on gossip that turns out to be complete bullshit, I mean... it's Reborn.
And I obviously didn't read the part about the car crash very well, Bianchi even says that she died before the crash. Oh well, I rushed through it!
Probably number three, at least that's what I'm hoping. Because frankly, number one doesn't really make sense. Even if he was immune to her cooking, he should still be able to see that Gokudera was frikkin' miserable. And number two seems a bit off, I mean, I don't think Bianchi would do that, even if she loves her brother since it could cause trouble should he meet his father again when he returns home.
Sure, I've thought about that as well but... still. HE WAS THREE. His brain shouldn't even have finished developing! D:
I'm probably worse, and less coherent, and a lot more mean sounding due to stress. Lol, sorry.

Yeah, Reborn usually seems to know what's what. If nothing else, you would think that Bianchi would have told him the truth. Maybe she didn't find out herself until later (that is, maybe TYE!Bianchi isn't aware of any of this yet). Or maybe Reborn did know, but also knew that Gokudera didn't know, and so he didn't consider the truth relevant, since the point was to help Tsuna understand Gokudera better. But I guess it's not too far-fetched for him to have only heard the "car accident" version of the story; even he's gotta have his limits when it comes to knowledge that utterly doesn't concern him in any way, after all.
The way Bianchi told it was confusing, though. "Her disease had killed her before she fell from that cliff." So wait, a dead person was driving that car? Or she died enroute and her car slid off the road? Or was there ever a car accident to begin with? Maybe the gossipers just made it all up.Option #3 is where I'm leaning as well. Which is fine by me, because it means there's still a little bit of angst left to deal
