And to this day, Reborn's actual age still confuses me and I really wonder how he and Bianchi became 'lovers'. When I first read this series, I thought she was a pedo XD
i never take that seriously. I guess "Bianchi is Reborn's lover" thing is just part of the running gag in which despite being a baby, Reborn is better than Tsuna in everything.
I miss the bugs too. One of many classic Daily Life gags that's fallen by the wayside. Nothing like innocently clicking on a page only to find a panel of a baby with nine beetles crawling around his face.
I had originally thought he was full of shit when he claimed that they were lovers, but later on when we found out he hadn't always been a baby (and had in fact been astonishingly attractive before the curse), it occurred to me that they really might have dated at some point... which would in fact make him the pedo. Because I'm pretty sure Bianchi is only 17 at the start of the series, and Reborn has to have been a baby for at least several years (because wasn't he already an infant back when he trained Dino?). So if he's not lying, then he was in fact dating her when she was like... 14. Or even younger.
So basically it's incredibly skeevy no matter what the circumstances actually were. XD
See. If you take this image as being even vaguely representational of actual canon re: Luce being pregnant before the curse, that would imply that they've been babies since around the time Uni's mother was born.

I kind of miss the days of assassin!Bianchi too. She was terrifying like no other. But I can't even remember the last time we saw any poison cooking in the manga. :( BIANCHI WHY WEREN'T YOU AT THE INHERITANCE CEREMONY FOILING ENMA'S EVIL PLANS WITH RICE CAKES.

Although I'm still trying to figure out if that makes Reborn a good or a bad tutor if it took him 300+ chapters to have Tsuna grow a pair XD But something tells me it might as well have taken double that time for anyone else ROFL
Oh Bianchi <3 I couldn't really get a handle on her character at first but she's grown on me, especially through her interaction with Gokudera. If I had a big sister I would want her to be just like that \o/
I'm of the "it would have taken twice as long for anyone else" school of thought. I'm still pretty awed that Reborn managed to do it at all. I MEAN LOOK WHAT HE HAD TO WORK WITH, ETC.
Yeah, Bianchi's pretty awesome; I love her interaction with Gokudera too (when he's not being KOed by poison cooking trauma, anyway), and with the younger girls. I just wish we saw more of her these days; her potential was kind of wasted in the Future Arc (given that she spent all her time being the "let's get Kyoko and Haru out of the vicinity so they aren't traumatized by whatever is currently happening!" person). Last I checked she did still know how to fight, Amano. :/ Still holding out for a tag-team battle with her brother someday.
Yeah, I was also mildly disappointed by how Bianchi appeared in the Future Arc. She has so much potential to be the one kickass female Vongola member but it was somehow... overlooked.
Dude, I would pay to see a proper Gokudera + Bianchi team-up happen! I'm sure they could wreck havoc all over the place together \o/
