I can't imagine why they wouldn't have wanted you by someone with such an ability. Lucky that you were kept away. Equally lucky that whatever plans Bennet had for him could never come to fruition, I'm sure. God rest that man's soul.
Why should you or I believe that Bennet had tried to murder you then? Can you be sure he wasn't simply attempting to turn Canfield into an agent? Something else? I don't doubt that Bennet has an ulterior motive for everything he does, right down to eating breakfast in the morning. What makes you think that he doesn't want you dead?
I think Bennet chose this target. Even if not, Angela would know that- considering I have been trying to control myself, I would probably not choose this ability out of all the escapees, even if I did plan to 'slip'.
I didn't mention the conversation in the car afterwards, did I? Just listening to Claire and Noah talk filled in those gaps. He might've wanted Stephen as an agent, but first and foremost was the destruction of me.
And I think you probably do want me dead, although I'm not sure whether you would want me dead in this place or not. Then I'd probably just get more annoying.
You're right, though. You're right. As much as I am painfully sure that it could not happen to a nicer man, Sylar, neither do I want you to end up some kind of a curse on these people, stuck here.
I'll keep an eye on Bennet. Just as I will be keeping an eye on you. But be aware that, were the situation but slightly different, I would find you and find a way to kill you. Claire's ability or otherwise. Same as Bennet.

So you're settling back in all right, mister?

Yes, I really am. It almost feels like coming home, oddly enough. Thank you for asking.
