are you and your family safe and okay? I'm not sure if ike affected the woodlands or not...but they're close to Houston, right?

very close. it's the suburb just north of Houston.

And yes, they don't have power, and are flooded. They don't expect power for another week at least. My parent's house didn't get flooded though, thank goodness. Overall, they ended up on the nicer side of things.
