This time, to tell me that he had to leave. He was hurting, he'd been rejected too many times and he couldn't focus on anything else. So, the best thing for him to do, he reasoned, was to get away.

Don't worry... he's coming to stay with me and I'll take good care of him. I don't know if you remember me... I washed out of Oberlin this time last year for very similar reasons.

I wish I'd known you better, too.

Of course I remember you, Claire! My first meal at Oberlin was with you and your kin, on the lawn of Wilder Bowl. It felt like camp.
...and then we barely saw each other the rest of the year.
Though i didn't really know you, i was disappointed when you didn't come back this year. I had thought that our paths would cross and that i would get to know you eventually. That very well might happen now that i'm on LiveJournal...
I hope you're much happier back in DC. Take good care of Ben.

Hey Nina. I didn't know that you were on this site either. But then i haven't really explored around much. Baby steps.
