Nina came around the corner quickly, curious about the new arrival. She seemed to reconsider when she saw the gun, squeaking quietly and darting back behind the doorjam, peeking out at him after a moment.

"Um, who is Sam, Mister? The only Sam I know is Mrs. Mary's baby, and I don't think babies can answer people yelling for them. Is Cas a girl or a boy? I haven't met anyone called Cas yet!"

Dean quickly stowed the gun away, "Christo. Whoa, easy. Who are you?" His eyes then narrowed at the mention of Mrs. Mary having a baby named Sam. Nah, had to be a coincidence. Unless this was some freaky dream.

"Sam's my brother. Huge guy with long hair, can't miss him. And Cas is Cas." He wasn't about to explain the whole angel issue. Most people don't believe, including himself for years.

He slowly approached the corner, still being cautious since the kid might not really be a kid.

"I haven't seen any huge guys. Or at least, not any named Sam. So is Cas a boy or a girl? Cause I can't help you find someone if all I know is their name, you know." She frowned, looking thoughtful. Mister Leo was pretty big, but his name wasn't Sam.

"I'm Nina Tucker, and I'm four years old, and you shouldn't point those at people cause someone might get hurt." She nodded. "Even big brother says so."

"Cas looks like a guy. Dark hair, wears a trenchcoat?" He sighed, and wiped a hand over his face. She seemed ok so far. He had some silver and salt still just in case.

"I'm Dean," He paused and then added, "Winchester, and I know what I'm doing. Lots of dangerous things out there." Chances are, if he sent here, his name wasn't going to be a surprise anyway.

"Listen, this would be a big help. Any chance you could tell me where we are?"

And now, for confusion. passed_torch November 29 2011, 05:35:26 UTC
Somewhere, in one of the hallways, there's someone in a cape and a kind-of archaic suit, still scouring the house in a state of agitation.

And then, he spotted someone familiar.

"Dean!" Yep. He's heading over towards you. "Thank God, I lost track of you somewhere in the library and the way this place works, I was starting to worry about you, too - have you found any sign of Mary yet?"

Whee confusion chosenfreedom November 29 2011, 05:39:36 UTC
Dean did a double take. First a kid mentioning his mom, and now this guy? And acting like he knew him? This place was getting freakier by the minute.

"CAS WHERE THE HELL ARE YOU?" He yelled to the ceiling after giving cape guy a look of confusion. "Look I know you're busy, but I got an emergency here! This is starting to piss me off!"

/is it bad that I'm more than happy to see how bad we can make this? passed_torch November 29 2011, 05:49:43 UTC
........He was now, again, confused.

That was a complete and utter lack of recognition, and he didn't really have a clue who "Cas" was; he took a couple steps closer, leaning around to peer and check for signs of a shaved spot like the one Knuckle had. "I'm ... afraid I haven't ... met 'Cas', or I'd offer to help ... Are you alright? I'd thought they hadn't gotten you..."

Dean sidestepped around him, wondering what he was looking for.

"Personal space, man, ever heard of it?" he barked as he backed away, and a hand went to his gun as a defensive move. He kept his action subtle since he didn't know if cape guy was armed, or some convention escapee or something.

"I'm just peachy. Somebody got a couple of us and tossed us in this freak show of a place. Guessing you don't know where we are either?"

Here, a foxgirl with a shotgun. sandsnowfoxtrot November 29 2011, 06:10:18 UTC
The parlor was one of the nicer places in the house. It had that same surreal feel most of the other rooms did; something about how different they all were made them feel distinctly out of place in the house. Nothing really felt right here.

At the very least, it was peaceful. No horrible wall-crawling things, no chilled out, horribly injured ghosts, no skinless people in the bathroom just watching, endlessly, with no regard for bathroom etiquette...

But there was that Dean person from before. Instead of a shotgun, however, he had a pistol this time. Revolver.

What the hell, where was he getting all these guns from?

"Oh...hey again." For her part, her shotgun was also held low, casually, but she was wary. Last night's meeting hadn't exactly been pleasant.

A hunter has his ways, and in the meantime, he was in a guarded stance. Ready to grab his gun in a moment, but since she was armed as well, he remained wary in turn. Wasn't sure what the deal was with the ears, maybe it was some costume?

That wasn't the weirdest part about her. Again? First that guy, now this one too.

"Look lady, whoever you ran into before, it wasn't me."

She blinked. She had been expecting a few things, but that hadn't been one of them.

"We met last night. Unless you happen to have a twin brother named Dean..."

She made no particularly hostile moves; she just seemed confused. Damnit, that kept happening.

"No, I have a younger brother named Sam. Somebody else said there was another me around here, but he ain't me whoever the hell he is or was."

He looked around, and then added, "So if you got any further information on this place, I'll take it. Already heard you're up to the ears," Yeah he was giving her own a very pointed look as he said it.

"...with fugly monsters."

And a clumsy little someone just so happens to be rounding a corner a bit too quickly. He stumbles back quickly and looks up at the man... with a gun.

Why do all the humans have to carry guns!?

"I-I'm sorry!"

It was a trademark for hunters especially. Part of the tools of the trade. He lowered the gun, and squinted back at him.

"Stand down, What were you running from?" Gun was going to come back up so he could around the squirrelly acting guy to investigate what might be chasing him.

Toboe looked behind him a bit baffled, he wasn't being chased by anything, but the stranger mentioning it made him paranoid for a moment. Satisfied that he was not, in fact, being chased as was suggested he looked back at the stranger.

"I-I wasn't being chased... I was just looking around."

More like wandering in panicked circles. He wanted to go outside. He had to pee. While he looked like a regular boy of about 14 at the moment in his human illusion, he was still very much a wolf... and he remembered that Granny didn't like it when he went to the bathroom inside the house. Granted seeing the gun pointed at him almost fixed that problem.

Dean continued to peer around the corner. Might as well get as much intel as he could. He glanced back over his shoulder.

"You just get dropped in this nuthouse too or what?

Niall is hanging back in the east hallway watching 'Hector' explore the parlour. Well, at least it looked like the man who had given that name to him. His reactions indicated a confusion one who had been here long enough should no longer hold, and... he felt different. Lacked the same underlying unstable sense of power the previous man had possessed. Strange. Could well be the same man and he had suffered some form of trauma. Could be something more fanciful. Niall lights a cigarette in the gloom of the hallway, blows smoke idly and pushes off the wall to take a few steps in.

"Found yourself lost, have you?"

Dean spun around, and eyed the guy smoking. There was no recognition of course. He was wondering if this was some other poor bastard stuck here like him and the others, or he was responsible. In either case, best to stay on alert.

"No, I knew exactly where the hell I was before this shithole."

Ah, there we have the answer. He shrugs in a non-committal manner, stops a safe distance away and takes another drag on his cigarette.

"Wherever that may have been, you're not there now. Once this place has a grip on you, 'tis hard to break free. Have you already encountered some of the others, may I ask? No point in wasting your time with what you've already heard."

His own shrug seemed to echo the other's as he slowed walked through the room. He briefly shoved a hand in his pocket to try to call Sam. No signal. Isn't that the fucking cherry on top of this place?

"Yeah, spoke to a few. Haunted with all kinds of fugly monsters and no way out. Think I got the memo, thanks."
