Who: Terezi and YOU Where: The Library When: Night 001 What: Terezi arrives at an inopportune moment Warnings: Monsters, violence, potentially language
The door slamming caught Isis's attention as she paged through a volume; her head raised, alert, eyes bright above the veil still hiding her face from view.
Then she saw what'd made the noise, and her eyes widened.
One hand on her (silent, cold, unresponsive) Torque, Isis slipped as quietly as she could towards the newcomer, not wanting to be detected until she had a bit of a better idea of what had happened to her. In a place as bustling-sounding as this one, it was indeed only natural to encounter others - in fact, it might be for the best....
She started forward, but stopped. Wait, she reminded herself. Wait. What could she do for the injured party, if they meant no harm? Precious little for which the extra minutes would make a difference. Yet the girl's blood -
Still. She didn't like this, any of it. Including the necessity of remaining hidden.
The monster banged and scratched against the door. One of the monster's attempts to force its way through nearly knocked her over (but only nearly). Growing slightly desperate, Terezi scanned to room as one might scan the room with their eyes, but with more sniffing, in the hopes to catch the scent of something heavy she could use-
-and caught the scent of bright honey gold.
Which lead straight to the form what what smelled like a human, and apparently had been in the room the whole time. Well, that was just fantastic.
"What are you standing there for?" she snapped, punctuated by the cries of the monster outside. "Do something useful!"
--Well, though she hadn't been aware she was visible back here, Isis knew better than to dawdle in confusion. Striding out, she approached the stranger and became distinctly more aware that she wasn't just leaning on that door.
Quickly, she marched to the nearest table and lifted a chair, doing her best to avoid bumping into things as she carried it over.
"A barricade of objects is more effective," she explained, willing the Torque to activate with all her might (it didn't). One chair wouldn't be enough....
"Moving the table would be ideal," she added, with a glance at the other girl's arms.
As the stranger emerged, she took another few sniffs of the air to get a better view of them. But that could wait until later, she realized as the monster pounded on the door.
"Well duh!" As the monster hit the door, she felt her feet slip a little. "That's what I was looking for! You just showed up instead. I guess I can work with that." She scowled - enough to reveal a bit of her sharp teeth.
"Now hurry up! Unless you'd rather deal with that thing." Another convenient growl and bang. "I wouldn't be that surprised, seems like the kind of idiot thing your species would do."
