Fun and clever, and that bit of hopefulness is lovely (I could probably give you a better comment if it were not 6:50 AM, but there it is).

Thanks! And yes, I know what you're talking about. I'm practically illiterate at that time of day. :)

Thank you! I hoped it would be... well, at least a bit unique. So much has already been written about this.

Hee! This is lovely. I really like what you've done. And I think for the purposes of this, it doesn't really matter what ACD called himself in our reality; this one is dimension-hopping to visit John, and can call himself Arthur if he wants to. ;-)

Fair point! :)

And yes, well, I thought that John, not having a Mary as it is, will need some moral support. Not that I miss her overmuch...

*blinks in astonishment*

That was ingenious! And completely gave me the shivers when John could remember bits and pieces of FINA, knows there is more, but just can't grasp the specifics, because EMPT has yet to be written in some alternate universe.

Just insanely clever.

You know, you do have a talent for choosing exactly the right words to make an author happy. Thanks!

The scene you mentioned was actually the basic idea around which the whole fic evolved. Plot bunny wouldn't leave my brain and gave me the shivers, too. :)
