A lot of things can happen in a very short time. I was out of town for maybe... a month? Apparently mum dropped by this morning, not long after I left for work. At least that's what my dear neighbour told me when she handed over a large bucket of sweet potatoes my mum left in Mrs. Neighbour's care. So, whenever the kids are staying for the weekend, they have to have orange juice in the morning. But sometimes, like today, they skip the drinking and go straight to playing with the neighbours (the dreaded climbing of trees, no matter how many times they fall off those trees. This is a video that has been going around for some time now. Their story was first told during the election race last year, and have recently been revived following a single released by a pop-music group here, inspired by the conditions faced by Sinar and Murni, and many other families like them.

( Her name is Sinar. It means 'ray of light'. This six-year old girl is also light for her mother. Her daily life revolves around helping her disabled mother. She goes about her daily task with care and love. )

I found this when cleaning my laptop harddrive (how much space do we need anyway? I used to be happy with a floppy).
