Rilakkuma! I have him on my phone. :D Speaking of UFO Catchers, there was an amusing thing on the news about them recently. Some little kid wanted a Spongebob plush and ended up crawling up into the machine and getting stuck. They had to call in the fire department to get him out, I think. The amusing thing is that the kid looked SO happy in his sea of stuffed toys - he was flopping around and swimming through them.

It figures that Dymlos looks nothing like the yaoi-doujinshi versions I've seen. XD

I agree, 1000 yen is pretty good for a UFO catcher (especially on your first win!). The one and only one I got was for 1400 yen (Rirakkuma lounging and listening to music), but I won it for my friend because she failed to get it.

What exactly does a Manga Research club do?

I'm not sure but judging from what I've heard in anime/manga, it seems you mostly just gather and draw manga/doujinshi in it. Maybe they hold manga-making discussions sometimes, too. While I was drawing in the rakugaki corner, the high school girls were talking about how their club was inactive, though. "We gathered to draw for once and that's it." Actually, my whole experience sitting in that corner was so fun. XD It's so much more interesting to listen to Japanese fangirling than just reading it on online diaries.
