Yesterday I feel like I ran all over the city. I wish I could have just stayed home and relaxed on my day off, but I can't say I didn't enjoy myself being out and about.

....because it's not the fan on the motherboard that's broken? It's the one on the back in the power source thingie (believe it or not, my terminology has improved ^_^). and that's, well, not removable without replacing the whole part, according to Kevin. so it's a matter of getting the new part, (hard given my work and sleep schedule) and then installing it. Will still contact you for help if Plan A helper falls through.

Yup, they still have a (slightly modified) costumers' pass this year:
"Includes Basic Membership rights, Friday Saturday or Sunday access to Polaris 22, no access to Guest Talks/autographs/photos, Dance or Masquerade audience. Allows entry into Masquerade competition, and Friday night Vampire Ball." $15/day.
I'm in the same boat with not being sure if I can make it - I've registered and booked the hotel anyway and remain optimistic.
That temporary solution looks suspiciously like what I did to my old computer for six years.

Well, if my work schedule stays the way it is, I'll probably be there Saturday on the costumers pass. Don't think I can take the whole weekend off though, since I need to ask for another weekend off in July for other things. It'll be a bummer to not see the masquerade though, since I doubt I'll have anything to enter.
