I knew a couple of days ago that I got an A in Spanish, and I found out when I got up a couple hours ago that I got an A in Calc, so I've been anxiously checking for my Stats grade every half-hour or so. I had a 99.3% in the class so far, so I only needed a 70% on the final I took yesterday. It felt really good, so I've been telling myself: it ( Read more... )

So for Stats 244:
FINAL EXAM = 75.6%, Course Average = 84%, Course Grade = A-

Glad I somehow squeezed an A- out of that class.
But man, I did i F-up the Final :-p AH well.

An A in Psych and an A- in Stats....I'll take it :)

Ugh. I got a B -- by just a few points. I'm feeling really dumb about it. I had an out-of-town friend and preparation for travel right before the final (which I took at the testing center on Monday, because I flew to NY on Wednesday night), and I wishwishwish I'd taken more time to learn that last module. Ah, well.

I figured something along the lines of you'd taken it early and gone out of town, when I didn't see you there yesterday.

I probably would've gotten a C if I'd taken it on Monday. The extra few days were everything.

Are you taking 244 next quarter?

how the hell do you make 100% on something and not have any idea that you've done so?

Well, I liked all my answers, so 100% wasn't out of the question, and when I like all my answers, that usually means I've earned an A of some kind. Still, I sometimes do worse than it felt like I had done, due to careless mistakes or whatnot.

Mostly, though, I think it's just about how my mind works: I'd rather worry a bit about something and then experience relief than count my eggs before they've hatched and risk disappointment.
