What dismal form of undetected magic has brought me to this place? I fear for my sanity! At my very last, I was in the Temples of Egypt, and now I remember naught but darkness, and have awakened to find that I am not in Egypt at all! Instead, I am in the strange lands of Japan, filled with neon and strange vehicles on wheels which growl and beep at ( Read more... )

Hey, let me show you around town. I'll tell you where the nearest strip club is.

Strip club? I suppose it would be best for me to learn how this Japan is laid out. It's all so unfamiliar, but thank you for your kind offer. It should prove most enlightening.

There is this awesome red light district in Tokyo and Domino. You should really check it out.

Perhaps you could meet me at this library? I believe it is downtown, and I can teleport us to this 'red light' district you speak of. Is it anything like the red lights which so many of the vehicle occupants here seem to be irate with? If so, it might be dangerous, and I shall have to prepare for the journey.

Don't listen to him. Maybe it's best if I show you around town. Are you all right? Can you read the street signs?

Why should I not listen to him? I have no reason to suspect that he is leading me into peril, but perhaps you have knowledge which I do not. Is it true, what they say, that this is the year of 2007? Do you know if the mighty Pharaoh or any other Priests from my era have arrived here? If so, they may hold the key to what my task here is. There is a man on a strange metal box with moving pictures that calls himself Seto when I pass by store windows. Is this Priest Seth in a current reincarnation and why has he changed his name?

Well, let's just say he isn't the Ryou Bakura I'm used to...

But anyway, I have seen a version of the pharaoh that you're looking for. Well, a, um...smaller one. He's really nice. And I think you've seen Seto Kaiba, CEO of Kaiba Corp. And that thing he was in was a TV.

A... smaller... one?

Kaiba, yes, that was the name. But I believe him to be a reincarnation of a loyal priest from Egypt.

Uh... Holy crap, your name is Mahaado, isn't it? And yeah, I know you don't know me, but I know you, and um... a strip club is where you go look at naked people in the bad part of town where the prostitutes are, so if you're anything like the Mahaados I knew in dreams, you won't like what Ryuuzaki and Ryou are trying to pull. Then again, since I'm sure you're not exactly like them, you might like it there.

I'll try not to hate you for the way you treated me in dreams, but if you're so good at magic, can you get my ka's necklace off of my neck so she can have it back? I totally screwed up the spell in no small part due to your lack of being a good teacher when I did know you, you jerk. And um... do you work for the Pharaoh? There's probably two of them here like there were in my dreams... There's two of everyone, except for the people that there aren't two of. *faceplant* Okay, I know how dumb that sounded, but yeah, there's two of everyone. I don't know where my otherself is, but if he's anything like the one in my dreams, he's a ( ... )

Yes, it is. And if I wronged you in a dream, then I do apologize but I cannot recall ever having met you. Thank you for your warning about this 'strip club' as I do not think I would find it particularly alluring at this time.

I shall have to look at the necklace to see what can be done. If you wish instruction in magic, that would perhaps be a wise course, especially as your spells have gone astray in the past. I will not know until I find the others if I have need of an apprentice, especially one so openly hostile for things which have not occurred. Two of everyone? How am I to know which one is the true Pharaoh that I serve?

Um, hi. You're from Ancient Egypt, too?

mahaad November 28 2007, 02:32:12 UTC
Ancient? Yes, I suppose if this is the year 2007, it would be considered Ancient. You know others from Egypt here?

Oh, um, I've never really met them in person, but...I think a pharaoh was here...

Yes, I am searching for him. But people in this era are surprisingly not helpful, even when you stress how important it is...

Ugh, yet another Ra-worshipping heathen.

Beg pardon? I am hardly a heathen, young lady. I serve the mighty Pharaoh, reincarnation of all that is good and noble, as a Priest. It takes dedication and sacrifice, necessary to keep the world in balance so that humanity will not be sacrificed to evil. And though I do worship Ra, there are many other notable Gods and Goddesses that I seek council from.
