So - some folks have recently asked what I've been watching anime-wise. For the record, I've been behind on my viewing [but I'm catching up], so if some of these titles look old, nothing to be done - except for you to build me a time machine and give me more time

Spoiler On Eureka Seven

Eureka Seven is surprisingly good. in addition to the imaginative mecha/surf trope, it provides a nice take on the world-intelligence concept (it brought to mind Solaris - the novel and Russian film; i am loath to watch the American film). the characters and their arcs are also reasonably interesting.

that's an excellent description of Bleach, though i am starting to get a little tired of the anime clichés.

i still haven't watched Death Note.

i'm currently fond of the stylization of Blood+. unfortunately, the story seems to start strong but then becomes unfocused over time, in my opinion.

I've heard that about Blood+. There is a supposed lull for many episodes in the middle of the series, building up the story, and then it rocks out again near the end. I'm going to check it out.

Looking forward to the rest of Eureka Seven. I'm about half way through and thoroughly enjoying it.

You must see Death Note. Impressive series.

Geneon closed up shop in the US. All the titles that were midway through the series [like When They Cry] were just dropped. No plans to finish them on their end.

I just finished Death Note.

Incredible show, by far my favorite.
