Hunt One.

It's about time I found this journal! Cloud had it in her mouth after a hunt one morning, and I realized I hadn't written in it since first year. Suppose now would be as good a good a time as any to start writing in it. Since I've only got a few classes, anyway ( Read more... )

I know what you mean about the owls. They're simple creatures just lookin' for a bit of seed, it ain't right to make em wait for it. I don't own an owl myself, but I make sure my cat ain't hungry too often.

And I dunno about the Quidditch match. I'm gonna root for Hufflepuff, but we ain't really been a winnin' team lately.

They're really nice to talk to. They say that they don't get enough attention, high up in the Owl Coop. I don't have an owl either, but Cloud keeps me busy. Do you visit the birds often?

I don't know who to cheer for. I'm thinking Hufflepuff, but since my team isn't playing I'm neutral. I wish we'd have won the last match, though.

Yeah, I go to see the owls every now and then. I try not to get too close to 'em when I visit, though; Friend Nat's a jealous creature, and smellin' birds drives her wild.

I know the team would like it if you cheer for 'em, but I ain't gonna press the issue. I'm just hopin' we have a good showing this time, you know?

Doesn't matter how close I get. They seem to come to me, often times! They're just friendly creatures.

I think I'm going to cheer for Hufflepuff. I'm sure they'll have a great turn out, especially since most of Gryffindor wants Slytherin to lose.

Hey Diane. So you're also barely getting around to using your journal as well?

Alfred and some of the professors have been prodding me to get one, so I sort of succumbed to the notion of getting one. So far it's proven itself useful.

As for the animals, the owners should at least be responsible when it comes to their familiars. I mean, if you went through the trouble to get them, why not at least treat them humanely and keep them well fed and well groomed?

It's just hard to keep up with it. It's so small, and all the other books are too big. Seems to me if they wanted us to not lose them, the journals would be bigger.

They must be useful if so many people have them! I hope mine can be just as useful.

They're probably the younger ones' owls. I don't mind taking care of them, though. They're very nice to talk to.

It is rather on the small side, but I guess that it's more for people's convenience, because I do not imagine people would like to carry around a rather large, cumbersome book.

It is, because people seem to write their thoughts more freely, and people can just come in contact with others even if they're in different parts of the school grounds.

Well, they're not as used to everything that's going on, and they're most likely too busy getting themselves immersed into magic and its possibilities to properly pay as much attention to their familiars as they should.

Still, it's nice to know that someone that likes animals as much as you do is taking the time to take care of them.

My team's not in this match, but since Slytherin didn't lose last time, it'd only be fair to cheer for Hufflepuff.

Nice to meet you too.

There's not much need to state the full name thing now, is there?

Or are you that important :).

ooc: i sincerely apologize for his snarkyness.

Nah, I'm not important at all, really. Some people think its prettier to say my whole name. It's just long.

I'd much prefer to have a short name, wouldn't you?

What's your name, though? I haven't met you yet.

(ooc: It's alright. Someone had to say it. XD Daine just doesn't like people going around calling out "Veralidaine!" all the time.)

I didn't think so :).

Short names are good, they're easier to cry out.

Soubi Agatsuma. I just transferred here, so not many people know me.

ooc: hahah!yeah that is long XD

I've never thought myself important enough to merit a huge name. I'm not that skilled at anything, really.

That's true. Never thought of it that way.

Nice to meet you, Soubi. Do you enjoy Hogwarts?
