Hunt One.

It's about time I found this journal! Cloud had it in her mouth after a hunt one morning, and I realized I hadn't written in it since first year. Suppose now would be as good a good a time as any to start writing in it. Since I've only got a few classes, anyway ( Read more... )

I know what you mean about the owls. They're simple creatures just lookin' for a bit of seed, it ain't right to make em wait for it. I don't own an owl myself, but I make sure my cat ain't hungry too often.

And I dunno about the Quidditch match. I'm gonna root for Hufflepuff, but we ain't really been a winnin' team lately.

They're really nice to talk to. They say that they don't get enough attention, high up in the Owl Coop. I don't have an owl either, but Cloud keeps me busy. Do you visit the birds often?

I don't know who to cheer for. I'm thinking Hufflepuff, but since my team isn't playing I'm neutral. I wish we'd have won the last match, though.

Yeah, I go to see the owls every now and then. I try not to get too close to 'em when I visit, though; Friend Nat's a jealous creature, and smellin' birds drives her wild.

I know the team would like it if you cheer for 'em, but I ain't gonna press the issue. I'm just hopin' we have a good showing this time, you know?

Doesn't matter how close I get. They seem to come to me, often times! They're just friendly creatures.

I think I'm going to cheer for Hufflepuff. I'm sure they'll have a great turn out, especially since most of Gryffindor wants Slytherin to lose.

Yeah, I know what you mean. The owls here are pleasant types with friendly ways, though I'm still more of a bat man.

I don't have anythin' against Slytherin myself, but I'm still hopin' our team pulls it off. I guess we've all got competin' in the blood, even if we ain't actually playin' Quidditch.

The owls here are much more friendly to each other than the ones in the wild. Those types are just solitary to the core, most times. I'm more of a wolf person, actually. But bats are nice creatures to talk to, as long as you leave the lights off so as to not scare them away.

I think the whole school is crazy for Quidditch.

Hmm... I'm all about respectin' the boundary between man and wolf, so I don't spend much time around 'em. I'm sure they got a bum rep, but I ain't really tried testin' it. How'd you socialize with 'em?

They're just like humans, with a social order. Ma always said you just had to know how to respect them to not get bitten. They don't like to kill humans as much as people think, though.

You just talk to them, is all. They're very friendly.
