Somehow I've come down with the Plague or Swine Flu or else just a really bad cold. Do not want. We sent the girl child off to band camp for the week, so I was hoping to get a bunch of stuff done around my house, which is not happening whilst I'm busy hacking up a lung. I'm hoping that I can be over the runny nose and fever by tomorrow, at least.

What he did with the budget this year--throwing out the wishes of his constituency and their representatives--is completely asinine. I will not support him and hope that whatever he does blows up in his face.

That's exactly right about Pawlenty. He totally ignores what constituants want and tries to steamroll his own agenda. And then when his fellow Republicans don't go along with his asinine ideas, he has them blackballed by the Party.

Our muses have run off to Brazil again, or maybe to New Zealand, because it's further away. They're mocking us, the bastards.

Keep plugging away at the job market. Something will shake loose. And yay on hubby getting a job with benefits. Y'know, you can work anywhere for a few years if they offer you a decent wage and health insurance.

Thanks for the heads-up on Pawlenty. I wouldn't have given him a second glance, given he's Republican. I can't stand those guys on principle.

Ironically, I did have chicken soup yesterday, and I finished off an entire box of tissues. Okay, so it was one of those little cube-shaped ones, but still...

Hubby got his offer today. Benefits are pretty good, money is pretty low. We are currently disagreeing about how much he should counter offer with. After all, he just left a job where he was underpaid and worked for a moron - I'm having a hard time seeing what is different here.
