I work in a call center where for about seven of my eight working hours I'm chained to my computer and cubicle with a leash like headset. Hence my number one location listed on my posts being some variation of 'chained to my cubicle

While I have never worked in a call center, I can definitely empathize. I spent two years in an office with the Boss From Hell, who always seemed to be out of town when irate customers or business people he had just stabbed in the back would show up and take out their frustrations on me. Also, my sister spent several years in customer service in various call centers and has told me her own horror stories.

I wish more people did realize that the person they are speaking to is not the one responsible for their problem, and that usually, if they are reasonable and not abusive, the customer service representative will do all they can to help, even if it is not in their power to give the customer exactly what they want.

I hope venting like this helped relieve some of the stress, and that you can relax and enjoy your weekend. :) I enjoyed chapter 3 of your story. Maybe just keep writing and it will help take your mind off work!
