Yeah so lecion and I are chill'n in Tacoma watching movies and eating popcorn (we decided last minute not to go to 'Jake's on 4th' since we were both tuckered out and not in the mood) when my cell phone rings... it's sidhefire who it at my house watching DJ for the night

My first thought was Holy Shit! Did they have any idea what happened?

The insurance company? They will once I e-mail them the pictures, I already started the claims process last night! LOL! The Fire Dept. is doing their investigation seperately but they are fairly sure it was a electrical recall just issued on the cruise control wiring of Ford trucks from the year of sidhefire's vehicle. And since she was parked right behind Jim's car... well.. flambe vehicles.

Luckily two of my neighbor's were home and fairly sober enough (plus one sleepy and sober paganmysts) and were able to push Jim's car sorta out of the way before the gas tank burned/exploded. Yeah it had a full tank of gas! After all the hoopla and the vehicles cooled off, they pushed it back to the approximate place it started so that it was not across the street on my neighbor's lawn leeking fluids and fire supression chemicals. Now it's back on my lawn doing that. LOL

I meant the fire dept. I'm glad it wasn't any worse than it was, exploding gas tanks would not be good.

LOL!.... I see. They "think" that it was related tot he recent recall on Ford trucks of a specific year that have a faulty cruise control mechanism/wiring. The head Fire Fighter said that they have been spontaneously catching on fire all over the US! I am just thankful that no one was in it, it was not parked near my house, they the guys were able to move JIm's car in time to keep it's gas tank from catching on fire, that they were parked ont he road and not in the driveway, etc... Gods there is soooo much to be thankful for! Like think if this had happened on Sidhefire's property... the way we all park our cars in a line right next to each other?! It could have piggybacked from vehicle to vehicle and they could have lost at least half of their property, the chickens, etc... And the Fire response time for her city?! OMG?! It was a really GOOD thing it happened on-post b/c Ft. Lewis' response time is EXCELLENT!

Crapola!

I can't believe I didn't read my mail until now. I'm so glad that there wasn't more damage and SO glad no one was hurt! Pretty good story though once all the paperwork is done. heh heh heh always glad to have a story to tell :)
