Yeah so
lecion and I are chill'n in Tacoma watching movies and eating popcorn (we decided last minute not to go to 'Jake's on 4th' since we were both tuckered out and not in the mood) when my cell phone rings... it's
sidhefire who it at my house watching DJ for the night.
Hello?
The trucks on fire. *underlying panic in voice* I need Jim's car keys. They want to move his car.
What? Fire? *shock & suprise*
*rapid breathing* Yes.
Did you call 911? *worry building*
*more rapid breathing* Yes.
*slight hyper-ventilation* The keys?
I don't know... he's deployed, I don't know where he put them. We're on the way, calm down, breathe, everything is gonna be OK.
....Speeding towards Ft. Lewis no cops in sight for once, yelling at the gate guard to hurry the heck up... speeding through housing arriving to see one melted out truck shell, one very
melted Jim's car and five fire fighters standing around having a pow-wow.
Yeah, it's been an interesting night to say the least.
I am just glad that everyone is safe and sound, no one was hurt, and neither vehicle blew up. They are only vehicles afterall... they can be replaced.
*grins*
So my fingers are crossed that USAA "totals" Jim's car b/c the smoke damage alone in the unmelted portion is significant. Don't think it'll ever come clean. Sherry's... yeah it is definitly totaled, unless someone is looking to buy a smoke damaged bed and one unmelted tire?

Sidhefire's entry about tonight's fun Oh and a side note: I am SOOOO not paying for the soot damage to my house carpets from the firemen and MPs. I will have to talk to my insurance company to see if they will cover the cleaning and/or repair work that may need to be done. Housing is NOT pinning this on me! *snicker*
Did you notice my pretty Yule lights and star on my house? *giggles*
