[ The video activates with a bit of a jostle, turning on to give a view of gold eyes before it pulls away and settles on a nearby surface. Now, Ed is fully visible as he goes about braiding his hair. ]

So, uh, 'pparently I had quite a nap.

[ A light snort and Ed reaches over to grab his wand. Giving it a flick, his hair continues braiding itself

[This reply video comes in with a view of the Ravenclaw boys dormitory's ceiling, as if it's lying flat on a surface. There's ruffling sound nearby as Tieria gets out of his robe -he has no other class to attend until much later- before appearing into the video feed. He has been waiting -sort of- to hear from Edward if only to satisfy his curiosity towards his prosthetic arm but of course, he hasn't heard from him since. In fact, he hasn't seen him around. It's only after hearing about a certain Ravenclaw's experience in sleeping for an extended period of time that he thought of the possibility of Edward being in the same situation. He wonders if this situation is somehow related to the magic that brought them here...]

[ Oh, hey, a familiar face. Giving Tieria a customary nod, he grins, giving a list of the few classes he still needs notes from. ]

Hey, Tieria. This'll be a load of help. Got a lot to catch up on.

[Seeing as they shared several classes, Edward is in luck. Giving a nod back in return, he's already picking out his notes to set them aside.]

I have them. When do you need them? [Skipping all pleasantries. He has never bothers with them all these while anyway.] You're the second one being put to sleep this long.

[ Always so stern! But he shrugs it off, letting his grin continue to linger on his lips. ]

As soon as possible. ...Second one, huh?

[ Merlin's beard she has to learn that spell. ]

[ Blink. Blink blink. Holy crap that is a lot of hair. And Al says his hair is long... ]

[ Can't speak. Too overwhelmed by awesome. She gestures wildly to her hair, mimicking... something. Possibly crab lice. Most likely a floating braid. ]

[ Opens his mouth. Closes it. Opens it again. Repeats his process once more as he tries to determine what the hell she's talking about. ]

My... hair? Are you asking how I did my hair?

Ed, I was wondering where you've been!

[She lets out a sigh of relief.]

Other than people receiving gifts from home, nothing much. Speaking of which...

Heh, hey Kallen. Turns out I needed a bit of a rest. At least a month long rest.

[ A-awkward grin. ]

That's what Al told me. Got me my journal from home and Al got my old coat. What'd you get?

[ No, he won't mention having given her a gift. Giving girls gifts is awkward so he'll just keep it on the downlow. ]

What's with the month-long naps anyway? First Blackfire and now you... I hope you didn't get really sick.

[She reaches for the Guren's key around her neck and pulls it out from under her robes.]

This. It's a little something I've had before arriving here.

Dunno. Me and Al are trying to figure that out. He was pretty worried. Tieria told me 'bout Blackfire...

[ Frowns, until she pulls out the thing hanging around her neck. Tilting his head, his eyes narrow to get a better look. ]

When did you have time to get presents?

[He gives Edward a rather incredulous look. Mostly because he hadn't expected Madam Pomfrey to let Edward go until tomorrow. Not that he's complaining, well, maybe just a little, he's still pulling double work in classes to make sure Edward can keep up now that he's awake.]

What? I was planning on them before the holidays. I just... didn't get the chance to hand them out.

[ Gives his brother a tentative grin as he picks up another package. This one has holes in it and it shakes in his grip, but he gently pushes it towards his brother before cupping his chin in his palm and giving Al an affectionate grin. ]

This one I had brought in soon's I got a chance to send an owl for it. Couldn't let it stick around in my trunk the whole time. It'd start to smell.

[He's about to say something as the look on his face falls flat. His arms are full of books and notes, so he's hardly in a position to take the strangely wrapped gift. The stubborn and still a bit upset part of him, also refuses to even look, even if he is really curious. The way he describes needing an owl to send for it is slightly confusing. Ok, so he's glancing at it now, why is it moving?]

Some of us have homework to do.

[His lips purse together and pout. You don't go to sleep on him for almost two months and expect presents to make it all better.]

[ The awkward grin grows more awkward as he gently pushes the box closer. Then, he sits up, reaching over to take some of the books Al is holding and sets them aside. With the movement, he scoots closer to Al. This time, the grin shifts into one of affectionate pleading. ]

You really should open it, Al.

[transmutates]

[ The tone of Lelouch's voice is an interesting one and he makes a mental note of it before grinning at the device and giving a slow shrug of his shoulders. ]

Oh, y'know. [ He lists off the ones he hadn't gotten notes for from Tieria. ] Those ones. Been keeping busy, Lelouch? Heard another person from your world showed up.
