Yes, Near definitely has some things up his sleeve. No more Mr. Sit in the Sidelines. He's in this to win, that's for sure. I love him for it. XD

Matt will appear periodically, yes. He'll never play a substantial role, though, because I'm not such a big Matt fan he's only number three.

Oh, wow, this was amazing.

First, I'm still wibbling over poor abused Mello, even if he claims he's no longer traumatized. Second, LOL at bouncy!Near. L's reaction to Near's personality change was priceless.

The brilliant thing about this was the symbolism of "waging war" with L's discussion of neutrality. In fact this is something you've done all along the way in this fic, but never as clearly as here. L can't take sides, not between warring countries or warring would-be lovers.

Near didn't have feelings. Unless feeling superior to everyone around him counted. ahaha Mello, you're so cute.

And Near gets major kudos for that kiss!!!! It sure shocked me.

Aww, yeah Mello really does take a beating in this fic, doesn't he? It's weird, I swear I'm a Mello fan...XD

I'm so in love with bouncy!Near, you don't even know. Sounds like you enjoyed his sneak-attack kiss as much as I did. :D

I'm really glad you enjoyed the war symbolism. I wasn't sure about going overboard with the whole thing. I think L really does feel strongly about remaining neutral, though, (in both capacities) so I had to include it all.

Haha, that was good. This is my second favorite chapter so far (first being the gun one). I love how Near is like: neutrality FTW! ... and then kisses L. Contradictory no? Is there sarcasm from Near there or is that an: I apreciate the effort? You should explain the thought process from Near's end because just the action seems slightly OC.
I liked the set up for Mello turning seductive (as he is in canon).
oh, and poor L, I can just imagine him being like: ok heirs, todays lesson: I am not a sex object! NearxMello: confused face.
Good job!! ..... oh, and you missed a "to" in the second (or third??) paragraph.

Oh man, I'm so excited for seductive!Mello to appear. Because you're right, sex is totally his weapon his canon. The leather!

*hugs L* You know, I do feel bad for him. He's suddenly thrown in between two hormonal boys, who also happen to be the sole candidates for his title...talk about stress. The sex will make up for it...

This is going to make things so awkward for L. He was probably all "ah bugger Mello fancies me, at least Near doesn't too" and then he was probably like "oh... fiddlesticks ><". xDDD
