Theme # 21 : Star Trek 2009
Sorry for the lateness, but I've been sick as a dog. I'm finally on the mend!
Since there was a tie on the most recent poll for our next sci-fi theme, I decided to go with Star Trek, since I believe a lot of people will be familiar and interested in this theme! Don't worry, we'll get to Marvel superheroes soon!
I've only included 10 of the main characters, but if you really, really see someone as a minor character, feel free to vote for them. I can always make more stamps.
Also, something wacky has been going on with the tags. For some reason, the !needs votes tag has been showing up on old applications, but you don't have to vote for people who have already been stamped.

James Tiberius Kirk was a 23rd century Human Federation Starfleet officer. As a Starfleet cadet, he was instrumental in the defeat and death of Nero, a Romulan bent on the obliteration of the United Federation of Planets. As a result, he was commissioned directly to the rank of captain and appointed as commanding officer of the service's flagship, the USS Enterprise.

Spock - full name generally considered unpronounceable to Humans - was a Human/Vulcan hybrid who served with Starfleet in the 23rd century. As an instructor at Starfleet Academy, he programmed the Kobayashi Maru scenario. From 2258, he was first officer under Christopher Pike and his successor James T. Kirk aboard the USS Enterprise.
logical - mature - insightful - loyal
As a Starfleet officer in the latter half of the 23rd century, he served aboard the starship USS Enterprise as science officer under Captain Christopher Pike, as first officer and science officer under Captain James T. Kirk, and as the Enterprise's commanding officer during her tenure as a training vessel. In the 24th century, Spock became a celebrated ambassador and adviser to the Federation's leadership. He disappeared in 2387 after saving the Federation from the supernova that destroyed Romulus, causing the creation of the alternate reality.

Nero was a Romulan miner originating from the late 24th century, and captain of the mining vessel Narada. Following the destruction of Romulus in 2387, Nero sought vengeance against those he felt were responsible, ultimately resulting in his being transported back in time to 2233.

Pavel Andreievich Chekov was a child prodigy and a Starfleet ensign for the Federation, assigned as a navigator to the USS Enterprise in 2258, at the age of 17. In addition, he was able to calculate the coordinants for beaming much faster than the computer, allowing him to personally beam Kirk and Sulu back aboard the Enterprise before they fell into the singularity, when the computer couldn't even lock on them.
