Sarah's Mum and Dad are up, it's nice to see them, despite the sad circumstances. Looking forward to going down to leicester at the weekend, though not sitting through our friends' wedding and reception. It'll be fine, i'm just a grump

Whereabouts in Australia are Tamworth and Newcastle?

Newcastle is in NSW, just a couple of hours up the coast from Sydney. Tamworth is further north and further inland. Hard to describe really, but google maps it :)

Tamworth is a pretty nice place. I'm not sure if it's still there, but we often used to stop at an awesome Chinese restaurant on the highway when we were travelling down to Maitland/Newcastle.

There's lots to see in Tamworth and surrounds, and lots of pretty big events too. Don't let anyone tell you it's a hick town, because there's lots more to Tamworth than the country music festival!

We're quite interested in going to regional areas, so Tamworth will be interesting. We're eventually interested in moving to somewhere like, or near, Wagga, which is where I did my elective. I really liked it there.

Oh, Matt forgot to mention that the final rotation in paediatrics is actually at Maitland hospital, not the John Hunter,
