Wildlife 3

Mar 14, 2010 19:38

My third and final wildlife post consists of larger creatures than were featured in earlier posts.  Birds, frogs and reptiles (no, not snakes!).

The photos in this first section were all taken in my garden.

Two rainbow lorikeets flew up into our back yard tree after I disturbed them eating our grapes.  Grrr!   Still, they're pretty!

These are wonderful, Maewyn. It's almost impossible for me to pick a favourite, but I think the little frog peeking out of the pot and the one of his face close up, the lorikeet on your hand ( his face too!), and the happily co- existing kookaburra and magpie are up there.

Thank you!

The frog in the pot has always been a favourite.

I was amazed that the parrot stayed on my hand long enough to take the photo!

Perhaps the magpie was hanging around in the hope that the kookaburra might drop a morsel or two!

What wonderful pics, Maewyn, thank you so much for taking and sharing them. I'm especially fascinated by the colorful birds and reptiles. And I adore the sleepy koala. :D

You're welcome!

I think the koala looks like an old man sleeping in his chair after a large meal!
