My third and final wildlife post consists of larger creatures than were featured in earlier posts. Birds, frogs and reptiles (no, not snakes!).
The photos in this first section were all taken in my garden.
Two rainbow lorikeets flew up into our back yard tree after I disturbed them eating our grapes. Grrr! Still, they're pretty!
Black cockatoos flying over the roof of our house.
Pink and grey galah. Not the best picture, as I was a fair distance from the tree. In recent years these birds have become more and more prevalent in suburban areas.
A little willy wagtail.
Baby New Holland honeyeater.
A little skink lizard. Cute!
Its much bigger cousin, the bobtail goanna.
A legless lizard. These little creatures are often mistaken for baby snakes. Yes, we thought it was a snake at first!
All of the following are Western green tree frogs Litoria moorei (also known as the motorbike frog).
Peekaboo frog!
Acrobat frog.
A rather imposing fellow(ette)?!
Lime green frog!
Hiding among the greenery.

In this second section are photos taken elsewhere on outings or holidays.
Pemberton in the south-west of Western Australia in 2006.
A Port Lincoln (or "28") parrot. This one was sitting on my left hand as I took the photo with my right!
Rosella parrots.
Kangaroos and an emu.
Taken at Kalbarri in the north-west of Western Australia in 2008.
Red-tailed black cockatoos.
Yellow-tailed black cockatoo.
A group of pelicans awaiting a hand-out on the beach.
Photos taken at the Bickley Reservoir, in the hills area, east of Perth in 2006.
Kookaburra
The same kookaburra with a magpie sitting on a fence.
Taken at the Caversham Wildlife Park (within Whiteman Park), northern suburbs of Perth in 2006.
A sleepy koala having an afternoon snooze. Koalas aren't native to Western Australia.
A similarly sleepy possum curled up in a hollow log.
Kangaroo mother with a joey in her pouch (well at least you can see its back legs!).
Tasmanian devil - definitely not native to Western Australia!
Flying foxes (bats) hanging around during the daytime.
A black swan beside a lake near the city centre of Perth.
