Bah, I'm a post behind again. What got me so busy yesterday? Well, for a teacher's summer and a teacher-who-is-unemployed's summer, I was kind of busy, what with aqua with amarama, diabetic retinopathy screening photos, celebratory organic ice cream with annathebean and kaleidescope for the latter's new job, and picking up john_b_cannon at BART after his flight home from Kansas -- yay, john_b_cannon

I loved Catherine, Called Birdy when I was a kid, and I'm pretty sure if I reread it now (still have a copy somewhere, I think) I'd still love it. I remember being really intrigued by all the saint stuff because I wasn't raised Christian. It was like a whole new world for me. I never got into Cushman's other books, though.
