"On peut être bougre et citoyen!"

Seven pamphlets fighting for the rights of "gays and lesbians" in... 1790-1791? Uh-huh. The French Revolution is *everything*.

Yes, that's what I'm doing instead of working on my last dissertation.

OH. THE JOYS OF SLASH IN THE 18TH CENTURY. XD )

Er. I could've said "I am stunned to incoherence by the general pwningness of the revolution in practically all respects", but I was lazy? ^.^

Well, that's already an improvement on a much more developped conversation attempt.

XD! My dad likes to say "Jesus went off with 12 men - what do you think they did"

XD! Whoah, now that's some vocabulary!

Honnestly, they really do, maybe people wouldn't be so damn uptight if they knew that it's always been around!

*grins* I'd heard bougre--clearly, no one thought it was important enough to mention bardache. >___<

...and can no one in this, my beloved century, write decent poetry? XD

Maybe because bardache is the bottom?

No; proof being that me, being raised in French, and learning how to write poetry in high school, wrote pretty pathetic rhymes myself. XD

That's what I thought.

Well, yes, but you're not *technically* an 18th century person...

The bottoms are so forgotten by History. XD

No, of course; but what I meant is that it's part of French culture to write bad poetry.
