I get what you mean about it hitting harder than the loss of a grandparent. My grandmother was a sweet, loving woman, but we only saw her once a year. My dog was in my life everyday, so I felt her absence much more. It just kind of feels like I haven't gone to visit my grandma in years.
I wish you healing from your loss. It does get easier over time. Know she's well and happy now in the world beyond.

That is so sad...when we lose pets it is different than when lose or human loved ones...so I know what you mean...its so hard...
The thought of losing my pup terrifies me in ways that I can only imagine is the same worry that parents have for their children...
I know that you will remember her always, but I hope the days ahead get brighter for you, despite her absence....
...afterall, she will always be around when you need her...in your heart and in your thoughts..
