Nip down to the Barbican and see the Zebra Finches playing guitars (okay so landing on the strings and making random noises as they are even more musically chaotic than Pete Docherty) in the Curve . They finish soon.
I fancy nipping into the Conservatory there too as it has birds and fish and tropical plant stuff though may be booked as an eating venue.
I've missed the opportunity to go to a gig at a Christian Scientist Church in Sloane Square (okay former Church, now home to the Royal Philharmonic orchestra) aka Cadogan Hall as Suzanne Vega didn't rate tour dates as a bloggable event on Myspace :(

Definitely worth hunting down all the Sam Smiths pubs, as you say - dead cheap.

Would also recommend applying for free tickets for BBC shows: http://www.bbc.co.uk/tickets/

Real opponent ? Do you know any ? "Ooo look there's your leader, Whoosh! Crackle. Thud. Mwa ha ha" Consider the Gauntlet thrown and accepted, can you get into London during the week starting 24th ? I can always trek out to you I suppose, maybe one day you're working from home so we can get an early start ?

If you can make it out to Reading one day (40 mins max on a train from Paddington) I'm running my own games shop these days, and would love to see you and catch up. We're incredibly convenient for the train station.

I may indeed venture out into the surrounds, I'm back in London on the week starting the 24th as am in Brum next week. What's your shops web address ?

www.eclecticgames.co.uk - basic placeholder pages. Also on Facebook, look for Eclectic Games.
