Thoughts on Thomas (Skins 4.01)

  • I'm not entirely sure how I feel about Thomas anymore. He was always in the background for me, but I loved what a good guy he was, no matter how crappy his life got. Now...I'm a bit of a flip-flopper, I suppose. Some of his actions seemed entirely understandable given the situations. And some, I just didn't get. By the way, his "You did it first." I totally agree with nearly everything you said :)
Effy's appearance, however brief, really made the episode for me (the scene with Naomi and Cook in the pub was good too - Lily gets more and more ridiculously gorgeous by the day)...I'm not sure why, I just love her :)
Thomas...hmm...I thought his behaviour was kind of understandable but the way he treated Pandora was really unfair and unkind :/ I do think they're pretty cute though so I kind of hope they can work it out :)
(Yeah, I know they're not real people and I talk about them like they are - I'm so sad...)

I totally agree with you, especially the lily thing- her scene was an entire 30 seconds long and she still had me in tears.

and i forgot how pretty effy/kaya was until the end, though i think they're making her a bit michelle- like with the hair

I agree with most you said, particularly about Panda being overly childish... it's weird. She seems to have an intelligence of a fly these days.

Haha at best quote, but I liked it when Thomas' sister said, and I can't remember exactly: "OB1 Kenobi is like God, but with better weapons", hahaha.

It seems like JJ and Panda are always the comedic escape goats before something gets serious. LOL, Them running around like two 9 year olds in the rave scene was too funny. And talk about the curve ball the writers threw into Naomi's storyline this season. It's so messed up, I like her so much! I wouldn't want to see her go to prison! Tisk Tisk. Oh and hopefully Freddie's storyline is stepped up a bit. I want to see him do something ruthless, something that Cook wouldn't even do, something that would scare the hell out of the rest of the group. LOL, He needs that "I don't care" type of attitude this season I think. That's what would make him more interesting, showing that he can't be nice all the time.

i agree with pretty much all of this.

i sort of understood why he cheated (singing girl reminded him of home blah blah) but it was still fucked up. ia that the worst part was when he said "you did it first". what the fuck, thomas. that was completely unnecessary and immature. he really pissed me off.

i was glad to see effy as well (for once).

pandora was annoying (although i felt bad for her later in the ep). when she said "panda needs a hug" i was like, "are you six years old?"

i loved freddie's "wtf is wrong with u" signature head shake too lmao.

I agree with a lot of what you just said. I love Panda and it seems to me they're going to do what most long running sitcoms do to dim characters: make them act so dumb you're surprised they can still function.(hello Joey from Friends; Randy from My Name is Earl etc etc)

Does it bother anyone else that Cook hardly ever gets any character growth? Three-four times you could see that he loves Effy, loves his father and loves his friends. But, very much like my love of Tony, I dont want to see him be a party animal all the time.

I like Naomily but Katie is my favorite twin. And I really hope she and JJ hook up.(Although i read somewhere that a girl was cast as a love interest for him)
