I gave up trying to figure out the dependencies for Evolution. I am a convert to Sylpheed. I tried it once before and it was kind of flaky, but a lot of work has been done on it since then.

I just built rioutil-1.3.3 on Red Hat 8. I can now list, delete, and upload tracks to my Rio S10. One less reason to boot Windows! There's even a frontend available (haven't tried it yet) that uses mpg123 to downsample your MP3 collection to 96KBps as you load up the player. Mandrake 8.1 was getting a little rusty, so I decided it was time to put RedHat 8 on my router. I was dog tired when I started, and somehow when I finished it wouldn't forward anything.
