Rrrrrebooting ... sort of

Feb 14, 2009 10:13

So I asked Vulgarweed and the old mods whether the planned reboot was still happening and it’s off. With their permission, though, I’ve set up my own attempt at a reboot at lt_safe_house for anyone still interested in starting over with a similar game.

There’s an OOC community at mad_prophecies, if you want to join, have questions, or just want to stop by for old times’ ( Read more... )

Yes! I'll come along. Not sure how well I remember War but hopefully it'll be like putting a pair of beloved old shoes back on.

I'll sign me up to mad_prophecies and swords_love_me to lt_safe_house, shall I?

YAY! I'm in the chatroom now and talking with Meta - though we're having problems getting her into the chat - if you want to come.

There's a rules post on new MP (= mad prophecies)that you should probably read before joining SH and it would be great, if you could fill out the application, though as former NOer returning with your old character you don't have to.

:) Just done an application! I need to reread some of the old threads to get back into writing her I think. Also read the rules.

I'll give it a shot XD But I'll have to get rid of some things before I can download anything else, because my comp is kind of full :P

Well, you don't need to download anything to join the new communities. Just follow the steps described in the rules. :)

I know. We've got a bit of a problem with Meta's AIM as well at the moment, though it allows one on one talking at least. If you can't make it work, the contact info posts will also include e-mail addresses and LJs.

I will not be joining, and I'm cool with anyone playing the same characters I did (they're not mine anyway, obviously, with the possible exception of Ellie's daughter.) But I would respectfully request that anyone who does play any of my old characters make it entirely their own version, based on their own interpretation of canon, not anything I did in the old game.

Good luck with the reboot! I hope you guys have tons of fun. :)

*hugs*

I'll miss John. As for other interpretations I expect that with another player he'll have to be, but at the same time I can't imagine any. I'd never even heard of Hellblazer before NO, though, so your John is really the only version I know. To me he always seemed like the glue that kept all our crazy dysfunctional characters somewhat grounded, helped them cope with their problems and sometimes got them to get along. Hopefully somebody else will slip into that role in the new game. (Loki just isn't made to be reliable and helpful.)

On a separate note I'll miss you, but when I see you online on AIM I assume that you're there to talk to somebody else and I'd just be annoying you, if I have nothing important to talk about. So if you're ever just bored and want to talk with someone or if you do drop by to read the new game occasionally, just say hi.

*Hugstoo* You know, the funny thing is, when I joined NO, I had absolutely no intention of putting John into that position. It just sort of happened. I'm sure somebody will come along and find the same role in your new game. :)

Don't be afraid to say hey now and again. And I probably will wander through once in a while to see how y'all are doing.

*snuggles*

*eyes cast so far* ... I sure hope so. (Actually I'm a lot more optimistic by now. I'm not just playing with myself!)

Don't be afraid to say hey now and again.
Okay, whenever I'm feeling particularly courageous. :)

And I probably will wander through once in a while to see how y'all are doing.
*beams* We'll try and make the place interesting.

This is the first time I came to check out Mad Prophets. I did wonder about the slow end, with no proper conclusion, of NO. I suspected a slow and sad death by neglect but actually seeing the last few posts here makes me feel so depressed... :(

I sincerely hope that LTSH will not share its fate. When was NO begun?

Also, I don't know if this will make any difference but seeing the last few posts of Neutral Omens and Mad Prophets makes me want to say it - I give my word that I will do all I can, if possible and if exams do not prevent me from using the computer, to ensure that the Lower Tadfield Safe House RP does not die a similar death.

Man. Now I'm going to go check out some of the funnier NO threads to cheer myself up.

Yes, it was a terribly sad end. And I'll try to keep it alive, too. I might not have the experience needed for it, though, so please forgive me, if I mess it up. *worries*

Everyone talks about experience. It always makes me think: what about these 'experienced' people? They, too, were young greenhorns once. Experience has to start somewhere - everyone was a newbie once. You'll do a great job. :) *snuggles you*

Yes, but I didn't start the game in order to learn how to run one, I want it to survive. I've got no ambitions to ever run another.
